Vivo has officially unveiled the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite in India. The first Elite-branded phone from the company is also its first V-series device to feature a Snapdragon 8-series chip. Apart from featuring different chipsets, both phones pack nearly identical specifications. Here’s a look at the V70 series’ specifications, features, and pricing.

The Vivo V70 Elite and Vivo V70 feature a 6.59-inch OLED screen that offers a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an impressive local peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits. Both phones are equipped with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, which works seamlessly even with wet or oily fingers.

The Vivo V70 series is confirmed to receive four years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates. Both phones ship with Android 16, overlaid with OriginOS 6.

For photography, the Vivo V70 series is equipped with an autofocus-enabled 50MP Zeiss group selfie camera with a 92-degree field of view. The rear panel houses an OIS-enabled 50MP Sony primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS support.

The V70 Elite and V70 are powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipsets, respectively. Both phones are equipped with LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, and a 6,500mAh battery with 90W charging support.

Another key difference between the two phones is that the V70 features a standard vibration motor and supports up to 8GB of virtual RAM, whereas the V70 Elite comes with a linear motor and supports up to 12GB of virtual RAM.

Additional features of the V70 series include colour temperature sensor support (only on Elite), dual speakers, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, an IR blaster, a USB-C port, a metal middle frame, and a glass back. For durability, the phones offer an IP68-rated dust and water-resistant chassis.

Vivo V70 Elite, V70: Price and availability

The Vivo V70 Elite is available in three configurations: 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB. These variants are priced at Rs 51,999, Rs 56,999, and Rs 61,999, respectively. It comes in three shades: Authentic Black, Sand Beige, and Passion Red.

On the other hand, the Vivo V70 is available in two options: 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB priced at Rs 45,999 and 49,999, respectively. It comes in two colour options: Passion Red and Lemon Yellow.

In India, the V70 series will compete with the Reno 15 lineup, which includes three models: the Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro Mini, and Reno 15 Pro.
