Vivo Y31 5G lands in India with a big battery and IP69 rating

Vivo has dropped its latest budget-friendly contender in India dubbed the Y31 5G, and it’s a smartphone that wants to tick all the right boxes without denting your wallet too much. From a robust IP rating to a hefty battery that’ll keep you going, this device has a little something for everyone who doesn’t want to compromise on durability or stamina. Here’s all you need to know about the new Vivo Y31.

Vivo Y31 5G: Specs and features

Front and centre is a 6.68-inch LCD HD+ display, perfect for bingeing or browsing without the squint. Under the hood sits Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, a chip built to handle everyday multitasking and the occasional gaming session without turning into a pocket heater. Paired with this is up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

The Y31 packs a 50MP AI primary camera and a respectable 8MP selfie shooter. Add to that a massive 6,500mAh battery paired with 44W fast charging and you’ve got a phone designed to stick by your side all day (and probably most of the next).

One of the most notable features on the Y31 5G is IP rating. The phone packs both IP68 and IP69 ratings, so it can handle pretty much anything thrown at it, without damage.

Moreover, the phone gets some impressive AI features like AI Erase and Circle to Search, making it a complete package on a budget in 2025.

Vivo Y31 5G: Price

The Y31 arrives in two storage configurations. The 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 14,999, while the 6GB + 128GB variant will set you back by Rs 16,499. As for colours, take your pick between Diamond Green and Rose Red.

Vivo may be pitching this as an affordable phone, but with solid specs, durable IP ratings, and that tank of a battery, the Y31 doesn’t feel like a compromise.
