Vivo has announced two new smartphones in the budget segment. Dubbed the Vivo Y50s and Vivo Y50e, both are 5G phones featuring the exact same design, but differ quite a lot in terms of the internals. Both, however, have a 90Hz screen and have big batteries for all-day usage. Here’s all you need to know.
All you need to know about the Vivo Y50s, Y50e
The Vivo Y50s and Y50e have a modest design and feature a 6.74-inch water-drop notch display. It’s an LCD screen with HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and 90Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling.
Performance-wise, both draw power from the Dimensity 6300 chipset, with the Y50e being limited to 6GB and a 128GB eMMC 5.1 storage variant. The Y50s gets up to 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.
Both pack a 6,000mAh battery, but the Y50e gets a slower 15W charging speed, whereas the Y50s supports 44W fast charging. They both run Android 15-based OriginOS 5. The duo features a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.
Other features include dual-SIM 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, and GPS support. There’s also a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired listening. You get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for added security.
