The Xiaomi 15 series is finally getting HyperOS 3 in India, and it brings a slew of new features and changes to your Xiaomi flagship. While Xiaomi confirmed the rollout last week, several users are getting the update this week.
If you own the Xiaomi 15 or 15 Ultra in India, you should receive a notification. It’s an OTA update, so the installation process is pretty straightforward. But what all does it bring to the table? And should you upgrade? Let’s find out.
What’s new with HyperOS 3 for Xiaomi 15 series?
HyperOS 3 for the Xiaomi 15 duo is based on Android 16, and it’s making your user experience smoother than ever. Xiaomi confirmed that it worked on more than 100 animations to make the interface cleaner. Notably, this update isn’t power hungry; hence, things should feel snappier.
One of the highlights of HyperOS 3 is the Xiaomi Super Island, which is nothing but a multitasking space that lets you jump between three floating areas of information. It’s said to make your multitasking experience a lot more convenient.
Further, you get features like new icons, home screen grid, AI Dynamic wallpapers, and support for cross-device connectivity. You can now easily transition between Xiaomi phones, tablets, and other devices. HyperOS 3 also brings tighter encryption and adds the November 2025 security patch.
