Xiaomi has introduced the new Robot Vacuum S40 Pro in Europe. The device brings stronger suction, an enhanced mopping design and support for popular voice assistants. It can pull in dust at 15,000 Pa; clean edges using a stretchable side tool, and return to its dock after covering close to 180 m² per charge.
Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S40 Pro: Specifications and features
The Robot Vacuum S40 Pro measures 355 x 350 x 99 mm, allowing it to travel beneath low furniture and along skirting boards. It pairs a main roller that resists hair tangling with a movable side brush for improved edge sweeping.

Instead of a fixed mop, the S40 Pro features two circular pads that spin at 180 revolutions per minute. One pad is mounted on a sliding arm designed to extend outward for corner cleaning, wall edges and tight gaps.
Users can adjust the water flow between light, medium or high settings depending on floor type and stain intensity. The pads also lift automatically when carpets or rugs are detected.
For navigation, the system combines a laser-based distance scanner with structured-light depth sensing across a 129° field of view to detect obstacles, steps and small objects. The docking station is compact, ensuring a minimal footprint near charging points.
The robot houses a 5,200mAh battery to enable extended cleaning cycles. The Xiaomi Home app provides control options such as map refinement, zone marking, scheduling, no-go zones and remote operation. Voice assistant support includes Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
Wi-Fi connectivity includes both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, ensuring stable linking with the Xiaomi Home app and supported voice platforms. Mapping, room detection and saved cleaning routes operate locally on the robot, enabling it to function even without a constant phone connection.
Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S40 Pro: Price and availability
The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S40 Pro is currently available in select European markets, priced at 279 euros (~Rs 28,820). The package includes the robot, a pair of spinning pads and the charging base.
