Xiaomi has unveiled a new smartwatch alongside the Xiaomi Book Pro 14. The Watch S5 brings a refreshed design, upgraded health tracking capabilities, and deeper ecosystem integration, giving a clear direction of the company’s wearable strategy. Xiaomi Watch S5 key features, specs
The Xiaomi Watch S5 features a redesigned body with a 316L stainless steel build and an integrated bezel structure. It measures around 10.99mm in thickness and weighs about 46 grams, making it suitable for daily wear.
The watch comes in multiple finishes, including standard stainless-steel variants and premium options such as forged carbon and ceramic bezel designs.
The smartwatch is equipped with a 1.48-inch AMOLED display offering a resolution of 480 x 480 pixels and peak brightness of up to 2,500 nits. The screen is designed to remain visible even under bright outdoor conditions.
The watch also introduces a new four-light, four-PD sensor system paired with an updated algorithm, delivering improved heart rate tracking accuracy of up to 98.4 per cent. Sleep tracking has also been refined with better detection of sleep and wake cycles.
For fitness and navigation, the device includes a dual-frequency GNSS chip that enhances positioning accuracy. A new cycling mode has been added, supporting advanced metrics and compatibility with third-party Bluetooth power meters. The smartwatch is powered by an 815mAh battery, which can deliver up to 21 days of usage, while the eSIM version offers up to 14 days depending on usage patterns.
The smartwatch also integrates with Xiaomi’s broader ecosystem, enabling features such as remote device control, smart door lock camera access, and vehicle connectivity for driving alerts and navigation assistance.
Xiaomi Watch S5: Price and availability
The Xiaomi Watch S5 has launched in China with a starting price of 1,199 CNY (approximately Rs 16,200) for the standard version, while the eSIM variant is priced at 1,399 CNY (approximately Rs 18,900).

It is currently available in China in multiple strap options, including fluoroelastomer, leather, woven (silk-blend), and premium finishes like ceramic and forged carbon variants.
