Android 17 comes to Google Pixel phones: Here’s all the devices getting the new upgrade

While Android 16 is being rolled out to the last leg of devices across different brands, Google is currently beta testing Android 17. It goes without saying that Google’s Pixel phones will be among the first devices to receive the next Android upgrade. With the stable version still a couple of months away, readers can take a look at the list of Pixel phones that will receive it.

Android 17: List of eligible Google Pixel phones

Android 17: When will the final stable build release

Last month, Google rolled out the first Android 17 beta for Pixel phones, and the second beta also arrived shortly after. Following this, Google is expected to reach platform stability around March, a stage where APIs and app behaviour are finalised so developers can complete compatibility testing.

The official stable release is expected in Q2 2026, followed by quarterly updates throughout the year, including a minor SDK release with additional APIs and features planned for Q4 2026.

In May, Google will hold its annual I/O 2026 event to showcase Android 17’s new features among other announcements. As far as Android 17 for non-Google Pixel phones is concerned, other brands may also start rolling out beta versions in the second quarter, followed by the stable release by late Q3.
