Right after the launch of the iPhone 17 series, Apple has announced a price cut on last year’s iPhone 16 lineup. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are now available at a lucrative price, with the 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max being officially discontinued.
The 16 Pro models are replaced by the new 17 Pros, while the non-Pro iPhone 16 stays as an affordable option for buyers. So, if you are planning to buy an iPhone but don’t want to spend extra on the latest models, this iPhone 16 price cut announcement might just be for you.
iPhone 16 new prices
The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus have received a flat price cut of Rs 10,000. With the new price cut, the lineup starts at Rs 69,900. Here’s the full price list.
– iPhone 16 128GB – Rs 69,900 (old price: Rs 79,900)
– iPhone 16 Plus 128GB – Rs 79,900 (old price: Rs 89,900)
– iPhone 17 Plus 256GB – Rs 89,900 (old price: Rs 99,900)
Additionally, users can also get an exchange discount. Buyers also get bank discounts on the Croma website and store.
Should you buy the iPhone 16 in 2025?
Here comes the important question—should you buy the iPhone 16 in 2025, especially when the iPhone 17 is available?
Well, the iPhone 16 models now appear to be even more value for money, especially because you get a flat Rs 10,000 discount without any workaround.
With other offers combined, which include the exchange discount and bank offers, you could get the base iPhone for around 50,000, and for that price, this is a great deal.
