Apple iPhone Air design
The highlight is no doubt the 5.6mm thinness, and despite the slim design, Apple says that it is among the “most durable” iPhone yet. Surrounding the phone is a grade 5 titanium frame, while a Ceramic Shield 2 protects both the screen and the back panel.
The most visible aspect on the back is what Apple calls the ‘plateau’, which houses the cameras, speaker, and the Apple silicon. On the sides are the Action, and the Camera Control buttons.
Apple iPhone Air key features, specs
As far as specs are concerned, the iPhone Air features a 6.5-inch ProMotion display with 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness. There’s also an Always-On display at 1Hz.
Under the hood is the latest A19 Pro processor, which features a six-core CPU that improves performance and efficiency for everyday tasks, and a five-core GPU that promises next-level mobile gaming.
This is complimented by Apple’s N1 chip, which adds support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread. There’s also a new built-in model called C1x, which is said to be two times faster than the C1.

Despite the slim design, Apple promises an “all day” battery life, though the real-life performance remains to be seen. All iPhone Air sold globally will be eSIM only, which not only aids with the slim design, but is also said to “maximise” the battery size.
For photography, the iPhone Air features a dual-camera system with a 48MP primary lens and a 12MP telephoto lens. Up front is an 18MP selfie camera with support for Centre Stage. This is a handy feature that will automatically fit everyone into a frame without you having to rotate your phone into landscape mode.
