Apple’s much-promised Siri upgrades may arrive in 2026

Apple announced some impressive Siri upgrades at WWDC 2024. Unfortunately, not all upgrades are here yet. The smarter and more personalised Siri features were delayed till May and now have been reportedly pushed back yet again. According to Bloomberg, the promised Siri upgrades may only arrive next year.

Apple’s personalised Siri upgrades are said to be arriving in Spring 2026, which is still a long way. Announced with iOS 18 at WWDC, the promised upgraded Siri will now reportedly roll out with iOS 26.4.

While Apple hasn’t confirmed anything yet, the delays are attributed to the frequent performance issues and bugs spotted with the upgraded Siri.

It appears that Apple will take a little longer to offer what it promised and to compete with the competition. Notably, most OEMs now have AI features in their phones, with major brands relying on Gemini for assistant functionalities.

Apple, with its new Siri, was expected to give Gemini AI assistant a run for its money. However, due to bugs among other issues, the much-promised upgraded Siri experience may take a while to arrive.
