Asus has officially launched its new Vivobook S16 in India, a machine that mixes next-gen silicon with a distinct focus on aesthetics. One look at its design and you’d be able to tell that the company is clearly targeting a younger demographic – especially with those new finishes called BFF Peachy and Salvia Green. The company even tapped accessory brand Mokobara as its official vibe partner for the launch.
Snapdragon X and fresh 'vibe' colours define the new Vivobook S16
The laptop itself is built to be portable yet durable. It features a sleek metal finish, weighs a manageable 1.74kg, and measures a slim 1.59cm in profile. It has also secured US MIL-STD 810H certification, meaning it should withstand some rough handling.
Under the bonnet, the device moves away from traditional CPUs and embraces the Snapdragon X processor. This chip houses a powerful neural processing unit, or NPU, capable of 45 TOPS. This hardware unlocks the full suite of Microsoft Copilot+ features, including Recall for finding anything you’ve seen on your screen and Windows Studio Effects for enhancing video calls.
Asus also includes its own AI-powered StoryCube application. Users can access these AI tools instantly via a dedicated Copilot key on the backlit ErgoSense keyboard.

The display is a large 16-inch OLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. The 16:10 aspect ratio offers more vertical space than standard widescreen laptops. Powering all this is a 70Wh cell, claiming an impressive battery life of up to 32 hours on a single charge. Security features include an FHD IR camera compatible with Windows Hello, a physical webcam privacy shield, and the Microsoft Pluton chip.
Connectivity is strong, offering two USB4 Type-C ports capable of 40Gbps speeds, two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, and an HDMI 2.1 port. The configuration includes 16GB of high-speed LPDDR5X RAM and a 512GB PCIe Gen 4 SSD.
The Asus Vivobook S16 starts at Rs 67,990 and is available now. And for a limited time, the first 200 buyers can also pay just Re 1 extra to receive benefits worth over Rs 8,000, including extended warranty, accidental damage protection, and a Mokobara laptop sleeve.
