Bang & Olufsen is celebrating its 100th birthday by dropping a stunning new “Centennial Collection.” The Danish sonic pioneers are essentially tapping into their 1925 roots with it.
The new collection is three of the company’s most iconic products receiving a heritage-inspired makeover.
The H100, A5, and A9 get reskinned with vintage-inspired materials
This trio features the Beoplay H100 headphones, the portable Beosound A5 speaker, and the massive, sculptural Beosound A9 5th Gen speaker.
The whole collection is a mood board of the company’s design history. So you get chequered patterns from classic 1950s radios, a bold 1970s colour palette (think Century Red, Chestnut Brown, and Century Blue), and the brushed aluminium finish that screamed 1980s chic.
Let’s get into the gear. The Beoplay H100 over-ears get the “Century Brown” treatment. These cans are already tech-heavy, packing titanium drivers, Dolby Atmos support, and advanced noise cancellation.
The new birthday edition mixes a Century Red leather headband with plush Chestnut Brown ear cushions and subtle Century Blue accents. The natural silver glass disc on the side shows off the anniversary logo. They even come with a matching leather pouch. They’ll set you back a cool £1,500 (around Rs 1,75,958).

Next is the Beosound A5 “Century Weave” portable speaker. This edition swaps the normal grille for a paper raffia weave in beige and chestnut, a direct nod to those 1950s radios. It’s all held together by a brushed aluminium frame and features a Century Red leather strap and a contrasting Century Blue cable. This slice of portable nostalgia costs £1,250 (around Rs 1,46,652).
Finally, the big one. The iconic Beosound A9 floor-stander, which looks like a piece of minimalist art, gets a “Century Blue” variant. Its seven drivers are now hidden behind a Kvadrat Centennial Cadence fabric, weaving Century Blue and Chestnut Brown together.
The entire look is completed by a brushed aluminium ring and matching legs, which B&O says evokes their 1980s design language. It’s finished with Century Blue feet and cable. This statement piece commands a hefty £3,800 (around Rs 4,45,822).
The Centennial Collection is selling online and in select B&O stores, though Indian availability hasn’t been announced yet.
