Apart from this, the Action 6 is equipped with a new 1/1.1-inch sensor, advanced 4K video recording and upgraded stabilisation. Continue reading ahead to know all the key features, price, and availability of this new action camera.
DJI Osmo Action: Specifications and features
Starting with the camera sensor, the DJI Osmo Action 6 brings support for f/2.0 to f/4.0 variable aperture, providing users with more flexibility in different lighting conditions and shooting scenario. It also features a new 1/1.1-inch square sensor that is designed to capture more detail, especially in low light.
DJI includes features such as Super Night Mode, a starburst effect option in bright night scenes and macro support for shallow depth of field at close distances. The sensor offers a dynamic range of up to 13.5 stops and supports up to 4K 120fps recording in a 4:3 aspect ratio. The 10-bit D-Log M mode helps preserve highlights and shadows for colour grading.
A 4K free-cropping feature lets users reframe footage into formats such as 16:9 or 9:16 after recording. Additional features include 2x lossless zoom, Super Stabilizer 3.0, HorizonSteady, built-in film tones and an everyday wide-angle mode that reduces vertical distortion.
DJI’s new action camera supports gesture controls, portrait mode, subject centering and connects directly to DJI microphones through the OsmoAudio system. The body is waterproof to 20 meters, uses an upgraded magnetic quick-release mount and features temperature resistance for cold environments.
