Find X9 Ultra will be Oppo’s first Ultra-phone to debut globally, here’s the launch date

Oppo’s Ultra-branded flagship has been offering a top-notch photography experience, but it has been limited to the Chinese market. For the first time, the brand will release it globally this year. The much-hyped Find X9 Ultra is all set to break cover globally on April 21. Here’s a look at what to expect from this phone.

Oppo Find X9 Ultra: What to expect

The Find X9 Ultra will feature an OIS-assisted Sony LYT-901 200MP main camera, similar to the Vivo X300 Ultra, which debuted recently in China. It will include a new 50MP ultra-wide camera and will be the only flagship phone to pack a pair of periscope telephoto cameras.

Reports suggest it will feature an OIS-enabled 200MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, along with a more powerful 50MP periscope telephoto camera offering 10x optical zoom and OIS support.

For selfies, the device will feature a 50MP front camera with autofocus support. Apart from its strong camera setup, the Find X9 Ultra is also expected to support an optional Hasselblad Teleconverter accessory with a 230mm focal length.

As for other specifications, the X9 Ultra is said to house a 6.82-inch AMOLED panel with a 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and a 7,050mAh battery.

The Find X9 Ultra is also expected to support 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The device will run on ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.

Other Oppo devices launching on April 21

In China, Oppo will also announce the Find X9s Pro, a compact flagship equipped with a 200MP (main) + 50MP (ultra-wide) + 200MP (periscope telephoto) triple camera setup alongside the X9 Ultra on April 21. The same event will also see the arrival of two flagship tablets, namely the Oppo Pad 5 Pro and Pad Mini.

While the X9 Ultra is confirmed for a global debut, there is no clarity yet on whether the X9s Pro and the tablets will launch outside China.

Oppo Find X9 Ultra India launch timeframe

At present, there is no confirmation on whether the Find X9 Ultra will debut in India on the same day. Upcoming reports are expected to shed more light on its India launch timeline.
