Samsung has started building hype around the upcoming Galaxy S26 series by releasing short teaser clips that highlight selected features. While the company has not shared complete specifications yet, the videos provide hints about what users can expect from the camera experience across the new lineup.
Samsung highlights camera zoom, low-light video performance
The teaser videos focus primarily on enhanced zoom capabilities and improved video recording in low-light environments. One clip shows a subject being zoomed in from a long distance, suggesting stronger telephoto performance compared to previous models.
Another two teasers demonstrate recording scenarios in dim lighting, indicating upgrades aimed at capturing brighter and clearer night footage. Samsung also appears to showcase a redesigned camera housing that matches earlier leaked renders, hinting at subtle design refinements alongside hardware upgrades.
Reports suggest that the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ may feature a 12MP front camera with autofocus, paired with a 50MP primary rear sensor, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 10MP telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom.
On the other hand, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to introduce a more advanced setup, including a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and dual telephoto cameras consisting of a 10MP 3x zoom lens and a 50MP 5x zoom lens.
Expected video features
All three models are believed to support 4K video recording at 60fps across multiple cameras, while 8K recording at 30fps may be available through the primary sensor. The Ultra variant could extend 8K capture to additional lenses, improving flexibility for creators. Samsung is also said to be introducing an Advanced Professional Video format designed to reduce file size while maintaining editing flexibility.
The Galaxy S26 series is widely rumoured to debut on February 25, although the company has yet to confirm an official launch date. Alongside camera improvements, the lineup may introduce new privacy tools and software enhancements, reflecting Samsung’s ongoing focus on AI-assisted imaging and productivity features.
