Upcoming Galaxy S27 Pro could be as powerful as the Ultra, but may lack one key feature

Samsung has been consistently launching new S-series flagships in the first quarter of each year. Therefore, the brand is expected to unveil the Galaxy S27 lineup in the first quarter of 2027. While the company is unlikely to share any details at this stage, the rumour mill is already revealing early information about the lineup.

A new report by South Korean publication ETNews has revealed that the lineup will include a fourth model. This device is likely to be called the Galaxy S27 Pro when it arrives in the market.

Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro: What to expect?

The report states that the inclusion of the new model in the lineup is mainly to provide customers with more choices, similar to what Apple does with its iPhone range. The rumoured Galaxy S27 Pro is expected to sit between the Galaxy S27 Plus and S27 Ultra. Of course, the lineup will also include the entry-level Galaxy S27 model.

The brand is yet to confirm the display size of the Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro. There is a possibility that it could be similar to the S27 Ultra, but it may lack S Pen functionality, which is a signature feature of the Ultra variant.

In the S26 lineup, the ‘Privacy Display’ feature is limited to the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It is being said that in the next-generation series, both the S27 Pro and S27 Ultra will offer this feature

For those who are unaware, Samsung’s Privacy Display is a hardware-level feature that narrows the screen’s viewing angle to make content visible only to the person directly in front of it, preventing prying eyes from viewing it from the side.
