Google has announced a major collaboration with Reliance Intelligence, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries, to bring its premium AI Pro plan to Jio’s 5G users. According to the company’s official blog and subsequent statements from both Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Reliance Industries, this partnership marks a significant step towards accelerating AI adoption across India.
The offer, which will initially reach younger users, will soon expand nationwide, making advanced AI tools more accessible than ever before.
Gemini AI Pro: Free plan and exclusive benefits
Under this partnership, eligible Jio customers will receive free access to Google’s AI Pro plan for 18 months, valued at Rs 35,100. The subscription includes the Gemini 2.5 Pro model within the Gemini app, higher image and video generation limits using Nano Banana and Veo 3.1 models, expanded access to NotebookLM for study and research, and 2 TB of cloud storage across Google Photos, Drive, Gmail, and WhatsApp backups on Android.
The rollout will begin with users aged 18 to 25 on Jio’s unlimited 5G plans and later extend to all eligible subscribers nationwide. Both companies have emphasised that this partnership aims to democratise AI access for Indian consumers and enterprises.

Reliance Intelligence will also collaborate with Google Cloud to bring Tensor Processing Units (TPUs) to India, strengthening the country’s AI infrastructure and enabling large-scale model training and deployment.
How to redeem the offer
To activate the 18-month free Google AI Pro plan, users must update the MyJio app and tap on the “Google AI Pro plan FREE” or “Gemini AI Offer” banner. Eligible users can then register their interest and will be notified once activation is available. The rollout starts with users aged 18 to 25, followed by a broader rollout to all eligible Jio 5G customers.

If you are already own Gemini AI Pro membership, you will get an option to switch to the “Google AI Pro – Powered by Jio” plan once their current paid subscription ends.
