Samsung and Google have drawn their battle lines in the foldable arena, and this round feels more decisive than ever. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 lands as Samsung’s thinnest, lightest, and most polished foldable to date, packed with a serious camera upgrade and the kind of premium build that finally makes the crease a non-issue.
Google’s Pixel 10 Pro Fold, meanwhile, plays to its own strengths with brighter screens than anything Samsung offers, a larger battery with faster charging, and the debut of Pixelsnap, a clever magnetic system that makes foldable accessories feel plug-and-play.
Both phones arrive with Android 16 and seven years of support, both cost well north of Rs 1.7 lakh, and both are gunning for the same pocket. So, if you’re wondering which one should go in yours, here’s a handy comparison between the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7.
Pixel 10 Pro Fold vs Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7: Build and design
Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 makes a bold statement with its ultra-slim 8.9mm profile (folded) and feather-light 215g frame, making it the thinnest and lightest foldable you can officially buy. It’s built tough too, clad in Gorilla Glass Victus 2, Gorilla Glass Ceramic, and Advanced Armour Aluminium, with a titanium lattice reinforcing the screen to nearly erase the crease. The under-display camera is gone, replaced by a more practical punch-hole.
Google, on the other hand, keeps things familiar. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold looks nearly identical to last year’s model, coming in thicker at 10.8mm and heavier at 258g. But it’s the first foldable with a full IP68 rating, meaning it can shrug off dust and water in ways Samsung still can’t. For those worried about hinge durability, that alone could be a clincher.
Pixel 10 Pro Fold vs Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7: Display
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold comes packing an 8-inch inner OLED and a 6.4-inch cover screen. The real flex here is brightness, as both panels hit a scorching 3,000 nits, making outdoor use a breeze. The question is whether Google has finally dealt with the crease that marred earlier models, something Samsung has clearly tackled, but stay tuned for our review Pixel 10 Pro Fold to know more.

Samsung’s Z Fold 7 counters with an expansive 8-inch inner screen and a large cover display that stretches to a more natural 21:9 aspect ratio. Both panels on the Z Fold 7 are Dynamic AMOLED 2X with up to 120Hz refresh and a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, offering a cinematic experience on either side.
Pixel 10 Pro Fold vs Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7: Performance and Software
Samsung’s Snapdragon 8 Elite “for Galaxy” chip is the raw power play, built on a 3nm process and clocked higher than standard editions. Combined with 12GB or 16GB of RAM, depending on storage, the Z Fold 7 looks set to dominate benchmarks and real-world use. In our time with the unit, it handled just about anything thrown at it, from heavy video edits to hours of BGMI gameplay.

Google, on the flip side, equips the Pixel 10 Pro Fold with its Tensor G5 chip, also built on 3nm, but designed more for AI workloads than sheer horsepower. Every model gets 16GB of RAM, which is a boost for multitasking and on-device AI.
Both phones run Android 16 with seven years of updates promised. And these are also some of the most AI-packed foldables on the market right now, with mature and utilitarian AI tools across the board.
Pixel 10 Pro Fold vs Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7: Cameras
Google stays put with a 48MP main, 10.5MP ultrawide, and 10MP telephoto with a longer 5X zoom. While the hardware hasn’t changed, Google’s computational magic adds features like Camera Coach, an AI guide for better framing and composition, plus improved video stabilisation.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7, on the other hand, finally gets the camera upgrade fans have waited for. You get a 200MP main sensor borrowed from the Galaxy S25 Ultra, alongside a 12MP ultrawide and a 10MP 3X telephoto. Samsung also ditches its under-display inner selfie cam in favour of a much sharper 10MP punch-hole shooter.
Pixel 10 Pro Fold vs Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7: Battery and Charging
Here’s where the Pixel 10 Pro Fold inarguably pulls ahead. It packs a 5,015mAh cell with 30W wired charging and 15W wireless with Qi2 support. Samsung sticks to a smaller 4,400mAh battery with 25W wired and 15W wireless. Neither is groundbreaking, but Pixel users will enjoy the extra juice.

Google’s Pixelsnap system also adds versatility. Built into the Pixel 10 series, it lets you magnetically attach accessories, including MagSafe-compatible ones, turning the foldable into a modular gadget platform.
Pixel 10 Pro Fold vs Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7: Price
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 starts at Rs 1,74,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model, going up to Rs 2,10,999 for the 16GB + 1TB variant. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold lands at Rs 1,72,999, but only comes in a 16GB + 256GB version in India, which feels stingy for 2025.
Pixel 10 Pro Fold vs Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7: Which one’s right for you?
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is Samsung’s most refined foldable yet. It’s slimmer, lighter, and armed with a 200MP camera that makes it feel like a true flagship. But its smaller battery and lack of dust resistance leave some gaps.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold takes a safer route in design but wins on practicality with IP68 protection, brighter displays, a bigger battery, and the new Pixelsnap accessory system. Its heavier build and modest camera hardware are the trade-offs, though.
In the end, Samsung appeals if you want cutting-edge design, speed performance, and camera prowess, while Google makes more sense if durability, brighter screens, and longer stamina matter most.
