When it comes to GTA 6 footage, all we have lately is AI-generated nonsense online claiming to be the real deal. But every now and then, the internet throws us a bone, which for the time being, makes the delays after delays sting a little bit less.
The latest leak comes from a character animator named Ben Chue who uploaded a professional demo reel to Vimeo recently. Chue has credits on Red Dead Redemption 2, Max Payne 3, and GTA 5. Tucked away in the reel was about 19 seconds of fresh footage that appears to be from GTA 6.
A peek at Vice City transportation
The clip isn’t exactly an explosive heist sequence, but it offers a look at the game‘s mechanics. We see a male character interacting with a bicycle rental station. It confirms we are getting rentables in the new map.
What really sells the authenticity is the absurd level of detail, the kind of obsessive polish Rockstar is famous for. As the character pulls the bike out and hops on, you can see the pedals shift and rotate to account for his foot placement and weight.
Another segment shows a female character – who looks suspiciously like the protagonist Lucia – jumping out of the back of a moving pickup truck. It suggests we will finally be able to ride in the bed of vehicles.
The only problem here now is that the Vimeo link has been scrubbed, as Rockstar is notoriously strict about leaks. People have managed to upload to mirrors, though.
