HMD has launched a new feature-rich smartphone in India, and it’s aimed to offer value for your money. Called the HMD Vibe 5G, the smartphone features a boxy design, a standard for HMD phones. It also boasts a fast display, a new operating system, and dual cameras for better photography. Here’s all you need to know about the phone.
HMD Vibe 5G key features and price
The Vibe 5G possesses the standard HMD look, and features a 6.67-inch display with an HD+ resolution and a fast 90Hz refresh rate. Powering the device is the Unisoc T760 processor, which is based on a 6nm process.
The device has 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There’s also a microSD card slot for those who want extra storage of up to 256GB. The device packs a large 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W charging.
Despite being an entry-level phone, HMD has offered three cameras on the phone. Two are on the rear, one of them is a 50MP main sensor, which is paired with a 2MP depth unit. The third camera is placed upfront, and it’s an 8MP sensor.

Other than this, the device has an in-display fingerprint scanner for added security. The device has 5G, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.2 for connectivity. It runs on Android 15 and supports two years of quarterly security updates.
The HMD Vibe 5G costs Rs 8,999, as part of its introductory price. You can purchase it in Black and Purple. In the same price range, you can also check out the Redmi 14C 5G and the Vivo Y28e 5G. Both offer a large screen and 5G connectivity.
HMD also launched two feature phones alongside the Vibe 5G, and they offer 4G connectivity and a single QVGA camera. Dubbed the HMD 101 4G and HMD 102 4G, they cost Rs 1,899 and Rs 2,199, respectively.
