Early hours in Hollow Knight: Silksong can feel like a grind. Rosaries (the game’s main currency) vanish quickly when you’re unlocking benches, activating Bellway fast travel, or trying to scrape together enough for Shakra’s maps and that pricey Simple Key at Bone Bottom. And with enemies dropping them in stingy amounts, it’s easy to end up broke before you’ve even hit your stride.

The good news? There’s a sneaky farming spot in Act 1 that turns that trickle into a steady stream. With the right loop, you can clock around 60 rosaries per minute, enough to bankroll your early upgrades and keep Hornet moving comfortably through Pharloom.
How to farm rosaries quickly in Act 1 of Silksong
Here’s how you can easily farm rosaries in Silksong Act 1:
– Start at Halfway Home, marked on your map
– From there, rest at the nearby bench in Greymoor Bellway station
– Move two screens to the right, and you’ll bump into a trio of zealots from the Citadel
– Take them out. Each one drops close to 30 rosaries, so you’re pocketing nearly 90 a run
– Return to the bench, rest, reset, and repeat
Do this for five minutes and you’re looking at 300 rosaries. It’s not flashy, but it’s consistent, and in Silksong’s early economy that makes all the difference.
If you’ve already rescued Bellhart, you can zip over using the Bellway and dump your earnings straight into beads, a safe investment for the long haul.
It’s not the most glamorous way to play, but when those benches and fast travel nodes are bleeding you dry, this farming route is a lifesaver. Try it out and see just how quickly your rosary stash starts to swell. If you want to play Silksong, check out this guide on how to download it on console or your gaming laptop.
