How to make PDF in mobile by typing: A complete guide

You no longer need a PC, laptop, or scanner to create a PDF. With just your phone, you can create a clean, professional-looking PDF in minutes and also save it as a shareable file. Here’s how to do it step by step.

How to make a PDF on your mobile by typing

There are just three simple steps involved using which you will have a new PDF on your mobile in no time.

1. Open a typing app

Start with any app that allows you to type and offers a PDF option. Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Samsung Notes, or Apple Notes all work. As long as you can write and export the file as a PDF, you’re good to go. Just open the app and create a new document.

2. Write what you need

Type out your content like you normally would. It could be something formal, like a job application or something simple like a to-do list or grocery list.

3. Convert it to a PDF

When you’re done typing, look for the option to export or save as a PDF. In Google Docs, tap the three dots, go to “Share & export,” then tap “Save as” and choose PDF. In Microsoft Word, use “Save as” and pick the PDF format. For Notes apps, tap the share or export icon and select PDF. The wording might differ a bit, but it’s usually easy to find.

Once it’s saved as a PDF, you’ll find it in your phone’s Files or Downloads folder. From there, you can email it, send it through WhatsApp, or upload it to Google Drive or iCloud. That’s it, you’ve created a PDF on your phone without needing a computer or a laptop.
