Insta360 Snap lets you shoot better selfies and videos from the rear camera

Popular action camera brand Insta360 has announced Snap: a compact accessory that makes clicking selfie pictures from the rear camera easier. It has a screen, so you can see yourself in real-time while using the back cameras instead of having to rely on the inferior front-facing snapper for photos and videos.

The Insta360 Snap Selfie Screen is ultra-thin measuring just 7.3mm. It comes with a 2-in-1 protective cover that eliminates accidental scratches and touches. The accessory magnetically attaches to iPhones directly. It comes bundled with a magnetic ring for compatible Android phones.

The Insta360 Snap Selfie Screen features a 3.5-inch display bearing a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, a 60Hz refresh rate, and a 550 nits peak brightness. The screen also supports touch functionality.

Users can adjust settings like exposure, switch modes, zoom images or footage. It also comes with on-device physical buttons. The accessory is compatible with various third-party camera and social media apps.

The Insta360 Snap Selfie Screen also comes with an optional Light that has an LED strip surrounding the screen. It offers three colours and five brightness levels. The accessory is capable of recording 4K videos via a USB-C port delivering a stable footage. It doesn’t require Bluetooth or any charging, you can just plug in and start capturing.
