iQOO 15R debuts with 144Hz display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, 7,600mAh battery

Back in November 2025, iQOO unveiled the iQOO 15 in India. Now, the brand has introduced the iQOO 15R in the country. Positioned below the existing iQOO 15, the 15R aims to deliver flagship-grade performance at a slightly more accessible price point. It brings the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, a 144Hz AMOLED display, and a massive 7600mAh battery with 100W charging. Here is everything you need to know about its specifications, features, and price.

iQOO 15R: Specs and features

The iQOO 15R features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 2750 x 1260 pixels. It supports up to 144Hz refresh rate for gaming and offers 1800 nits HBM and up to 5000 nits local peak brightness. The panel supports HDR10+ and carries Netflix HDR certification.

Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 mobile platform, which promises stellar performance for gaming and everyday use. It is further supported by a dedicated SuperComputing Chip Q2 to enhance frame stability and gaming performance.

The handset comes in 8GB and 12GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM options with 256GB and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. It packs a 7600mAh dual-cell battery with 100W fast charging support. The device also integrates an advanced cooling system with a large vapour chamber to manage heat during intensive gaming sessions.

For photography, the phone houses a 50MP Sony LYT-700V primary camera with OIS, alongside an 8MP ultra-wide lens. On the front, it features a 32MP camera capable of recording 4K video at 60fps. Both front and rear cameras support 4K 60fps video recording.

The device runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 and is expected to receive four years of Android OS upgrades along with six years of security updates. Other features include IP68 and IP69 rating, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, NFC, IR blaster, a USB Type-C port, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

iQOO 15R: Price and availability

The iQOO 15R moniker suggests that it will compete with the Sandpragon 8 Gen 5-powered OnePlus 15R (review) in India. The device is priced at Rs 44,999 for the 8GB+256GB variant, Rs 47,999 for the 12GB+256GB model, and Rs 52,999 for the 12GB+512GB edition. It is available in Triumph Silver and Dark Knight colour options.
