iQOO 15 Ultra debuts for hard-core gamers, brings gaming shoulder triggers, cooling fan

iQOO has finally unveiled the much-awaited iQOO 15 Ultra. Designed for hardcore gamers, the Ultra edition builds on the standard iQOO 15 with several meaningful upgrades. Living up to its ‘Ultra’ branding, the phone introduces dedicated gaming shoulder buttons and a built-in cooling fan, giving it a more authentic gaming-focused identity.

iQOO 15 Ultra: Specs and features

In terms of design, the iQOO 15 Ultra features a square camera module on the back, accented with RGB halo lighting underneath, along with an air intake vent. The camera module also houses a small RGB LED strip apart from the cameras.

Its built-in cooling fan and exhaust vent are positioned on the right side, which also includes capacitive dual pressure-sensitive gaming buttons with a 600Hz touch response rate. Additionally, the phone sports a honeycomb-textured design on the back panel.

On the front, the device features a 6.85-inch AMOLED M14 display offering a 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, along with an impressive peak brightness of 8,000 nits. Apart from the display, the Ultra edition also borrows the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and the Q3 gaming chip from the standard iQOO 15.

While the iQOO 15 packs a 7,000mAh battery, the Ultra edition comes with a larger 7,400mAh battery, while retaining the same 100W wired and 40W wireless charging support. For selfies, it features a 32MP front camera. On the back, the phone houses a triple-camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom.

The iQOO 15 Ultra comes preloaded with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Other features include an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, dual speakers with Dolby Atmos support, an IR blaster, NFC, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, and an IP68/69-rated body for dust and water resistance.

iQOO 15 Ultra: Price and availability

Currently, the iQOO 15 Ultra is limited to the Chinese market, where it is available in 16GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, 16GB+1TB, and 24GB+1TB variants. With a starting price of 5,699 CNY (~Rs 74,290), it can be availed in two colour options: Icy Blue and Flowing Orange.
