Recently, iQOO confirmed several details about the iQOO 15R, which is set to debut on February 24 in India. So far, the brand has revealed its chipset, battery capacity, fast charging support, and primary camera details. Today, iQOO shared additional information about the 15R, including its display specifications.
iQOO 15R key details confirmed
While iQOO has not disclosed the iQOO 15R’s display size, it has confirmed that the screen will support a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, promising a smooth experience during regular usage and gaming. Furthermore, the display offers a peak brightness of 5,000 nits, making it suitable for clear visibility even under bright outdoor lighting conditions.
For a top-notch gaming experience, the iQOO 15R packs the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset along with the company’s in-house Q2 supercomputing chip, which delivers stable 144fps gameplay. It also features a network enhancement chip that ensures low latency and stable connectivity during online gaming sessions.
iQOO has already revealed that the iQOO 15R features a 50MP Sony LYT-700V primary camera with OIS support. Today, the brand confirmed that the main camera will be accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide lens. However, there is currently no information available about the phone’s front camera.
The iQOO 15R will pack a massive 7,600mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging. It will ship with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 pre-installed and will receive four years of Android OS updates along with six years of security updates.
The device will arrive with an IP68/69 rating for dust and water resistance. Additional features include a 6.5K IceCore VC cooling system, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and an IR blaster.
iQOO 15R price (rumoured)
The iQOO 15R has previously been spotted on Geekbench with 16GB of RAM, and it is likely to be offered with up to 512GB of internal storage. While pricing will be officially announced at launch, the brand has confirmed that the device will be priced under Rs 50,000. Buyers will be able to choose between two colour options: Triumph Silver and Dark Knight.
