Lenovo has expanded its tablet portfolio at MWC 2026 with the announcement of the Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 and the new Legion Tab 2026 model. The two devices target different audiences, with one focusing on productivity and AI-backed study tools, while the other is aimed at gaming enthusiasts seeking flagship-level performance in a compact form factor.

The Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 arrives with a larger 13-inch 3.5K PureSight Pro display, replacing the earlier 12.7-inch panel. The screen supports a 144Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and a peak brightness of 800 nits. Lenovo is also offering a matte variant with anti-glare coating for users who spend extended hours reading or studying.

Powering the tablet is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage, expandable via microSD up to 2TB. The device runs Android 16 and is promised updates up to Android 18 along with four years of security patches. It measures 6.2mm in thickness and weighs 598 grams.

A key highlight is the introduction of Lenovo Qira AI features. These include AI-assisted note organisation, real-time transcription for lectures and a Smart AI Input tool that works with an optional keyboard accessory. The tablet houses a 10,200mAh battery with 45W rapid charging support.

Camera hardware includes a 13-megapixel rear sensor and an 8-megapixel front camera. Audio is delivered through a quad-speaker system tuned by JBL with Dolby Atmos support.

Lenovo Legion Tab (2026) specifications and features

The Lenovo Legion Tab (2026) retains its compact 8.8-inch form factor but upgrades performance significantly. It features a 3K LCD display with a 165Hz variable refresh rate and up to 750 nits peak brightness. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 Pro storage.

The gaming tablet includes Lenovo’s updated Coldfront cooling system for improved thermal management. It also integrates AI Engine+ enhancements for audio clarity and touch responsiveness. The Legion Tab carries a 9,000mAh battery with 68W fast charging. It runs Android 16 and weighs 360 grams.

The Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 starts at 549 euros, which is approximately Rs 58,850, and will be available from March 2026. The Lenovo Legion Tab (2026) is priced from 999 euros, roughly Rs 1,07,100, with availability beginning in April 2026.
