Lenovo Legion 27Q-10 gaming monitor review

Everyday gaming monitor that levels up your desk

Lenovo Legion 27Q-10 gaming monitor review

Gaming monitors often look quite busy. Brands try to make them feel aggressively with bulky designs or extra curvature. The new Lenovo Legion gaming monitor, however, takes a different approach. It’s a gaming monitor that features a sleek and elegant design, which will perfectly suit your desk.

We extensively tested this new Lenovo monitor, and here’s our full Lenovo Legion 27Q-10 review.

Lenovo Legion 27Q-10: Design and ports

From the moment you unbox the Legion 27Q-10, you’ll notice how clean and elegant it looks. The monitor feels more modern, without trying too hard, and the slim frame around, makes the large screen stand out.

The monitor’s design might remind you of similar monitors in the segment, like the LG Ultragear lineup. But the moment your eyes hit the Legion branding at the bottom, it becomes clear that this is very much a Lenovo monitor for serious gamers.

At the back, Lenovo has tucked the ports in a way that keeps everything accessible but still clean from the front. You get two HDMI, one DisplayPort, and a dedicated jack to connect your wired headphones.

While the ports are hidden on the rear, the buttons stay at the bottom. And from five of the keys below, you can turn the monitor on and off, increase or decrease its brightness, and switch between modes. There’s also a dedicated button to adjust the monitor’s gaming modes.

The stand that holds the monitor is sturdy and offers reliable support. It has a wide base, which means it can take up a considerable amount of space on a smaller desk, but if you have a medium or large desk, it should not be an issue.

The stand offers tilt adjustment, letting you turn the screen into a vertical display.  There is height adjustment support, too, although the maximum height might not be enough for everyone. If you prefer your monitor a little higher, you may need an additional desk riser.

Lenovo Legion 27Q-10: Display and performance

Coming to the display, the 27-inch screen is immersive enough to pull you straight into a game. It hits that sweet spot for all types of titles, whether you are playing long campaign modes or fast multiplayer FPS matches.

The screen produces QHD resolution, adding a noticeable boost in crispness. Text, textures and tiny in-game details all look sharper, and the viewing angles stay solid even when you shift around a bit during longer sessions.

The 240Hz refresh rate is where the monitor really flexes. Everything feels fast and fluid, especially in shooters or racing titles. In terms of day-to-day performance, we did not notice any screen tearing during our usage. The set refresh rate paired with adaptive sync support keeps motion smooth, even during quick turns or heavy action sequences.

Colours look vibrant without going overboard thanks to its 99 per cent sRGB coverage, which keeps the overall picture pleasing and fairly accurate.

What’s more? The monitor gets a 0.5ms response time, which isn’t the best, but good enough for the price, as it really helps during fast-action sequences in games.

With this feature, quick turns, enemy movements and rapid camera shifts look cleaner and more controlled, without the trailing effect that slower panels sometimes struggle with. Moreover, you get AMD FreeSync, which works alongside the high refresh rate to keep gameplay smooth. This ensures that everything on screen looks steady.

Unboxed Take: Who should buy the Legion 27Q-10?

Overall, for Rs 20,999, the Lenovo Legion 27Q-10 is a strong option for anyone who wants a clean-looking, high-performance gaming monitor without unnecessary flair. It gets the fundamentals right.

You get a crisp QHD display, a super-fast 240Hz refresh rate, reliable colour accuracy and a minimalist design that blends well with almost any setup. Unfortunately, it lacks dedicated speakers, but you get a jack to connect headphones, which is quite handy.

As for the competition, with similar features, you can also check out the Dell Alienware gaming monitor, which is a bit price. There’s also the Samsung Odyssey G5, which is a VA panel but has high refresh rate support.
