SAM 3 is already powering features such as View in Room on Facebook Marketplace and is set to enable new effects in Meta’s creative apps, including Edits and Vibes. Meta is also releasing SAM 3D, a new suite for reconstructing objects and human shapes from a single image.

How to explore SAM 3

To try SAM 3, users can visit the Segment Anything Playground, upload an image or video and select from templates that demonstrate segmentation or creative effects. These include options like spotlight effects, motion trails or pixelation tools.

The Playground also supports annotation tasks and stress tests for researchers. Meta’s releases include datasets and code that can be downloaded for deeper experimentation, enabling developers and creators to refine SAM 3 for their own projects.
