Instagram announced AI chatbots some time back and also allowed select users to create custom chatbots of their own. Custom AI chatbots can be truly yours, that’s if you train them well. These are conversational, meaning you can spend a considerable amount of time with them and have them speak your own language.

Instagram lets you create your own AI chatbot without any third-party workarounds. However, you can’t create an AI chatbot if you have just made an Instagram account. However, if you already have an account, you should see the option to create a custom AI chatbot.

Step 1: Open Instagram on your Android phone or iPhone.

Step 2: Go to DMs by hitting the share button.

Step 3: Tap the create button in the upper left corner (It looks like a pencil and paper icon).

Step 4: Now, you should see the AI chats tab. Tap on it.

Step 5: Now, tap Create and fill in the details about your chatbot. This includes the description, role, personality traits, etc. Then, choose how your AI looks, followed by giving it a name, and then confirming things.

Step 6: Once you proceed, your AI chatbot request should be approved by Instagram almost instantly.

That’s how you can easily create an AI chatbot on Instagram. Now, to make it truly your own, you can start talking to it and let it know what it should and shouldn’t do. You can also head to Advanced settings and give it different instructions.
