Motorola G96 5G offers a gaming-ready screen and a large battery

Motorola has launched a new smartphone that’s for all the budget buyers out there. The new Motorola G96 5G comes with the standard Motorola flair, packed with some add-on features for gamers. It sports a curved 144Hz display and a large battery. Here’s everything you need to know.

All about the Motorola G96 5G

The Motorola G96 5G boasts the standard Motorola design, featuring vertical cameras on the back and a curved screen on the front that wraps around the edges. It sports a 6.67-inch 10-bit OLED display with an FHD+ resolution, HDR10+ support, and 1600 nits of peak brightness.

The screen has a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and up to 144Hz refresh rate for a smooth gaming and scrolling experience. The device has a punch-hole on the screen that holds the 32MP selfie camera.

On the rear, there’s a dual-rear camera system with a 50MP Sony LYT-700C sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide unit. The main sensor has OIS for stable footage. It also supports 4K video recording.

The Motorola G96 5G draws power from the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset and is paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. As for the battery, it is equipped with a 5,500mAh cell, supporting 68W fast charging via the USB-C port.

Other features of the phone include an in-display fingerprint scanner, an IP68 rating, and 5G connectivity. It keeps things clean and fresh with the latest Android 15 OS.

The Motorola G96 5G is priced at Rs 17,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and Rs 19,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant. The device will be available for purchase from July 16 in online and offline markets across India.
