Summer’s slowly settling in, and as the days get longer (and hotter), March 2026 kicks off with a slate of high-profile game releases. Marathon leads the month, with Bungie revisiting its earliest sci-fi universe and turning it into a darker, extraction-focused FPS on Tau Ceti IV, complete with seasonal storytelling and a Rs. 2,500 starting price. This month also sees the release of WWE 2K26, putting CM Punk front and center, adding new match types, and overhauling stamina and reversal systems to make every fight faster and more intense. On a different note, Crimson Desert marks Pearl Abyss’ shift away from MMO roots toward a sprawling single-player action RPG set across the fractured lands of Pywel. Here’s a closer look at all the new video games coming out this month.

Crimson Desert
Crimson Desert is Pearl Abyss’ ambitious single-player action RPG that puts you in the role of Kliff Macduff, a mercenary making his way across the war-torn continent of Pywel while trying to reunite his scattered group, the Greymanes. The continent is dangerous and unpredictable, filled with warring factions, deadly creatures, and secrets that can turn an ally into an enemy in an instant. The game promises fast, fluid combat with combo-heavy melee, horseback battles, and massive boss fights, including mechanical dragons.
Beyond fighting, you can fish, cook, craft, or explore Pywel’s expansive open world. Along the way, Kliff uncovers hidden agendas, dangerous enemies, and the mysteries behind the chaos engulfing Pywel, giving every encounter a real sense of tension and purpose.
Crimson Desert releases on March 19, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S.
John Carpenter's Toxic Commando
John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando is a wild, over-the-top first-person shooter that throws you into a near-future apocalypse straight out of a Carpenter movie. A scientific experiment tapping into the Earth’s core goes wrong, unleashing the Sludge God and turning the soil into scum and humans into zombies. You take control of a team of mercenaries tasked with stopping the chaos, fighting through massive hordes of undead and grotesque monsters across sprawling, vehicle-packed maps.
You will move through combo-heavy melee, turrets, grenades, and powerful special abilities that reward teamwork, mixing fast-paced action with strategic use of the environment. Beyond battling, you can explore, scavenge resources, and make smart use of vehicles like trucks and ambulances to survive the mayhem. The game looks like a chaotic, cinematic ride, full of co-op mayhem, high-energy action, and Carpenter-style horror flair.
John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando releases on March 12, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Life Is Strange: Reunion
Nearly ten years have passed since we last followed Max Caulfield and Chloe in the Life Is Strange series, and Life Is Strange: Reunion brings them back together. Picking up immediately after Double Exposure, Max is still grappling with the fallout of her time-bending adventures. At the same time, Chloe is facing her own nightmares and re-enters Max’s life in a world just as complicated as their friendship. Gameplay alternates between Max and Chloe, letting you rewind time to explore consequences, solve puzzles, and make tough dialogue choices.
Choices from the past ripple into the present, shaping how Max and Chloe reconnect and how events play out. The game looks better than ever, with detailed environments and clever environmental storytelling.
Life Is Strange: Reunion is set to deliver a deeply personal, emotionally charged finale to Max and Chloe’s saga, when it comes out on March 26, 2026, for PC and Xbox Series X and S.
Marathon
Bungie’s Marathon revives its classic 1990s sci-fi world as a tense, first-person extraction shooter set on the ruined planet Tau Ceti IV. Humanity’s failed colony has vanished, leaving dangerous ruins and competing factions of Runners, cybernetic mercenaries, that players must navigate. In theory, your goal is pretty simple: drop into a map, scavenge valuable gear, complete objectives, and make it out alive. However, where things get tricky is surviving long enough to do it, as you’ll need to master the combat, watch for environmental hazards, and outsmart rival Runners hunting the same loot.
The game features six unique Runner classes, each with distinct abilities and loadouts, letting you approach every run differently. Maps are large, full of hidden paths, loot stashes, and tense PvP encounters that make every choice count. Marathon’s story unravels gradually through seasonal updates, revealing the mysteries of the vanished colony and the factions vying for control. Gunplay feels quintessentially Bungie, with precise, satisfying weapons and PvP skirmishes across claustrophobic, shadowy maps will turn every firefight into a high-pressure test of strategy and skill.
Marathon launches on March 5, 2026, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S.
Nova Roma
Nova Roma puts you in charge of founding a new Roman city after the empire’s fall, challenging you to grow a thriving settlement while keeping both your citizens and the gods satisfied. You start with a small village and expand into the countryside, building farms, workshops, aqueducts, and monumental structures. You’ll need to juggle resources, keep water flowing, and maintain trade routes, all while making sure your citizens’ needs are met.
Moreover, your city will face constant threats from barbarians, pirates, and a resurgent Roman Empire and the gods, including Jupiter, Vulcan, and Poseidon, can punish neglect by striking buildings with lightning, setting fires, or flooding streets. Lion Shield builds on the charm of Kingdoms and Castles, delivering gorgeous visuals, detailed city simulations, and intuitive management systems.
Nova Roma will bring a rich, strategic, and deeply satisfying city-building experience when it releases on March 26, 2026, on PC and macOS.
WWE 2K26
WWE 2K26 unleashes the biggest and most chaotic wrestling playground yet, putting over 400 Superstars in your hands, including legends, current champions, and, for the first time, talent from AAA. The game sharpens the series’ classic mix of arcade and simulation with updated stamina and reversal systems, interactive entrances, and environmental combat that lets you smash opponents with tables, shopping carts, and thumbtacks. New match types include the Dumpster Match, and favorites like I Quit, Inferno, and Three Stages of Hell are all set to return.
This time around, CM Punk is leading the 2K Showcase, letting players relive his career, explore alternate “what if” scenarios, and stage dream matches across WWE history. MyRise, MyGM, and Universe modes expand customization and story options, and The Island will finally make its PC debut with a revamped online hub.
WWE 2K26 packs more action, strategy, and chaos than ever and will release on March 13, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
