Teaser sparks fresh speculation

Nothing hints at March 5 launch event, here’s what to expect

A couple of hours after Apple confirmed its March 4 special event, Nothing founder Carl Pei posted a cheeky parody of Apple’s launch poster. The teaser overlays Nothing’s signature graffiti-style logo on Apple’s iconic emblem, with “March 5” mentioned on it.

However, it remains unclear whether he is hinting at an actual launch event or another experience-style showcase, similar to the one the brand recently held at its newly opened flagship store in Bengaluru, India. If it turns out to be a launch event, the company may unveil a couple of new devices, such as the Nothing Headphone (a) and the Phone (4a) series.

Nothing Headphone (a): Affordable over-the-ear headphones

The pink colour used by Pei in the teaser possibly hints at one of the colour variants of the Headphone (a), which was recently teased by the brand. For those unfamiliar, the Headphone (a) is said to be a more affordable version of the company’s premium over-the-ear Headphone (1).

A previous teaser suggested that the Headphone (a) may arrive in pink, white, yellow, blue and black colour options. It is tipped to feature a plastic build and may skip some premium features that are available on the Headphone (1).

Nothing Phone (4a) series: Flagship-like experience at affordable price

Reports suggest that the upcoming Phone (4a) series will include two models: Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro. Both devices are rumoured to arrive in pink, along with other colours such as blue, white, and black.

The Phone (4a) is expected to feature the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip, whereas the Phone (4a) Pro could be equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. The series may offer up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The Pro edition may come equipped with a 5,088mAh rated battery and support 50W charging. It is also expected to feature a redesigned Glyph interface on the back.

For those wondering about the Nothing Phone (4) flagship, the brand has already confirmed that it will not release it this year.
