The blue Nothing Phone (2a) is Nothing’s first phone in a colour beyond black and white

Nothing Phone (2a) blue variant launched in India

Nothing launched the Nothing Phone (2a) earlier this year, and in typical Nothing fashion, the brand’s third smartphone was available in black and white colourways at launch. However, Nothing has now dropped a surprise announcement, and the phone now has a third colour variant – blue.

The blue Nothing Phone (2a) closely resembles the Blue Titanium colour of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, at least from the official pictures. More importantly though, the newly launched smartphone is Nothing’s first to ditch the signature black and white.

We have already seen Nothing explore more colours earlier this month when the Nothing Ear (a) was launched in a new yellow colour. Now, with Nothing launching a blue smartphone, it seems the brand is opening up to more colour options beyond white and black with red accents here and there.

Do note that the Nothing Phone (2a) is still available in black and white, and if you ask us, the latter is still the best colour you can buy the phone in, but hey, looks are subjective!

Nothing Phone (2a) blue variant: What’s new?

The Nothing Phone (2a) blue variant doesn’t really change anything from the original version of the phone. You still get a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen and a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro chip powering the phone.

There are still two camera sensors on the back, comprising a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP ultrawide sensor. Also returning on the front is the same 32MP camera for selfies and video calls.

The Nothing Phone (2a) features a 5,000mAh battery that misses out on wireless charging, but does support 45W wired charging.

Nothing Phone (2a) blue variant: Price and availability

The new Nothing Phone (2a) blue variant is priced starting at Rs 23,999 for the base 8GB/128GB model. The top-end 12GB/256GB variant in blue will cost Rs 27,999. Yes, the blue Nothing Phone (2a) costs just as much as the black and white versions of the phone, which also start at Rs 23,999.

The Phone (2a) blue variant will go on sale on May 2, and will be exclusive to the Indian market. It is currently not clear if the blue variant will be available openly after the initial sale. Regardless, another good alternatives to consider at that price is the Realme 12 Pro 5G, which skips the Glyph lights for a began leather back and a curved screen instead.
