OnePlus Nord 6 launch roundup: Expected specs and features

OnePlus is moving away from the pill-shaped camera design with the Nord 6. Its design aligns with that of the brand’s flagship smartphones. The phone features a square-shaped camera island housing a 50MP Sony OIS-enabled main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. There is a 32MP front-facing selfie snapper.

Upfront, the OnePlus Nord 6 is confirmed to get a 1.5K OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. It will offer 1,800 nits peak brightness for outdoor visibility and going as low as 2 nits in dark environments. The display will be responsive to wet touches.

Under the hood will be a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 256GB UFS 4.1 storage. The brand is significantly upgrading the battery on its latest offering to 9,000mAh compared to predecessor which had 6,800mAh. The device supports 80W wired charging and also 27W reverse wireless charging.

Adding to the offering are AI features like Circle to Search, real time translation summary, AI Ghostwriter, personalised Google Gemini, and more. The phone will be eligible for six years of software support. It is also said to be US military-standard grade durable with IP66/68/69/69K water-resistant rating.
