OnePlus Turbo 6, Turbo 6V performance-focused phones debut with massive batteries

OnePlus held a launch event in China today to unveil its first-ever Turbo-branded smartphones. The debut lineup includes the Turbo 6V and Turbo 6, which are positioned to offer strong performance and long battery life in the affordable flagship segment.

Speculation suggests that these devices could launch in markets outside China as the OnePlus Nord CE 6 and OnePlus Nord 6. Here’s a closer look at what the OnePlus Turbo 6 series brings to the table.

OnePlus Turbo 6, Turbo 6V: Specs and features

The OnePlus Turbo 6 series features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution. While the more affordable Turbo 6V supports a 144Hz refresh rate, the Turbo 6 pushes things further with support for up to a 165Hz refresh rate.

The Turbo 6V is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. In comparison, the Turbo 6 is a more powerful offering, featuring the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, LPDDR5x RAM, and faster UFS 4.1 storage. Both smartphones pack a massive 9,000mAh battery and support 100W wired fast charging.

On the camera front, the Turbo 6 duo comes equipped with a 50MP main camera with OIS, along with a 2MP monochrome sensor. For selfies and video calls, both phones feature a 16MP front-facing camera. The devices run ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. The Turbo 6 lineup is confirmed to receive three years of OS upgrades and four years of security updates.

Additional features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and a USB-C port. Both phones also offer IP68/69-rated dust and water resistance.

OnePlus Turbo 6, Turbo 6V: Price and availability

The OnePlus Turbo 6 is available in four variants: 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+256GB, and 16GB+512GB. These are priced at 2,099 CNY (~Rs 27,000), 2,399 CNY (~Rs 30,830), 2,599 CNY (~Rs 33,400), and 2,899 CNY (~Rs 37,250), respectively. Colour options include Lone Black, Chasing Light Silver, and Wilderness Green.

Meanwhile, the OnePlus Turbo 6V is offered in three variants: 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB. Pricing starts at 1,699 CNY (~Rs 21,830), going up to 2,199 CNY (~Rs 28,260). The phone is available in Lone Black, Nova White, and Fearless Blue colour options.
