OnePlus launches Nord Buds 3r with week-long battery life promise

OnePlus has unveiled the Nord Buds 3r, its new entry level true wireless earbuds. The company is pitching them as a week-long audio companion thanks to a claimed 54 hours of total playback when you include the charging case. The company says that this puts it at the top of its TWS battery chart.

That battery is also rated to retain its performance even after 1,000 charge cycles, with a TÜV Rheinland Battery Health Certification to back the claim up.

Doesn't skimp on audio quality

Sound arrives courtesy of 12.4 millimetre titanium coated dynamic drivers that promise punchy bass and clear trebles. OnePlus bundles Sound Master EQ presets and a six band equaliser for tuning, and the company is offering OnePlus 3D Audio on compatible phones for a wider soundstage.

Calls are handled with a two microphone AI call noise cancellation system that uses beamforming and anti wind design so voices stay intelligible on the move. The earbuds themselves carry an IP55 rating for dust and splash resistance so they should survive sweaty gym sessions or a rainy commute.

The Nord Buds 3r also use Bluetooth 5.4 and provide a 47 millisecond low latency mode for gaming, dual device connection for easy switching, and Google Fast Pair for quick setup.

Extra tricks include AI Translation for on the fly language help, Tap 2 Take for snapping photos, Aqua Touch controls and Find My Earbuds for hunting down lost buds.

OnePlus will sell the Nord Buds 3r in Aura Blue and Ash Black at Rs 1,799. But you can also get them at a special launch price of Rs 1,599. Sale starts on September 8.
