Oppo A6 Pro announced with monstrous battery capacity, IP69 rating

Oppo has unveiled its latest budget smartphone bet, and it brings a flurry of features on a budget. The newly launched Oppo A6 Pro houses a mammoth battery, a smooth OLED display, and the top-level dust and water resistance. All under $250 (approximately Rs 22,000). Oppo A6 Pro: Specs that impress

The Oppo A6 Pro is no slouch when it comes to specs despite its affordable price tag. It houses a 6.57-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1,400 nits peak brightness, and a crisp FHD+ resolution. Furthermore, you get DCI P3 colour gamut coverage and 2,160Hz PWM dimming for worry-free late-night scrolling.

Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC which is paired with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.

Now, the biggest draw of the Oppo A6 Pro is its ridiculous battery capacity. The phone comes with a ginormous 7,000mAh cell with support for fast 80W charging, made to dispel battery woes. And despite this massive cell, the Oppo A6 Pro weighs only 190g.

Build-wise, it’s premium too, with a glass rear panel, metallic frame, MIL-STD-810H durability certification, and IP66 + IP68 + IP69 dust and water resistance. So, durability is well covered here too.

For cameras, the phone comes with a 50MP primary shooter and a 2MP nominal secondary lens, along with a 16MP selfie shooter.

Oppo A6 Pro: Price and availability

The Oppo A6 Pro is available in three colourways including Black Jade, Gold, and Blue. The phone is priced starting at 1,799 yuan (around Rs 22,250) for the 8GB + 256GB variant. The 12GB + 256GB model costs 1,999 yuan (around Rs 24,700), while the 16GB + 256GB version costs 2,199 yuan (around Rs 27,200).

The top-end 16GB + 512GB version will set you back by 2,499 yuan (approx. Rs 30,900). The phone is available for pre-order in China, and first sale kicks off on September 12.
