Launched barely a month apart, the Oppo Reno 14 and Vivo V60 have quickly cemented themselves as two of the most capable camera phones in India’s under-Rs 40,000 segment.
Vivo leans on its long-standing Zeiss partnership to bring that signature cinematic touch, while Oppo goes all-in on pushing zoom to the extreme. But when the two are stacked side by side, which phone really deserves the crown?
Oppo Reno 14 vs Vivo V60 camera specs
The Vivo V60 is a photography-first device through and through. At the heart of its Zeiss-tuned triple-camera setup is a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide, and the undeniable highlight, a 50MP periscope telephoto borrowed straight from the flagship Vivo X200.

With 3x optical zoom and support for professional focal lengths like 23mm and 50mm, it feels tailor-made for portrait purists and detail hunters.
The Oppo Reno 14 is no slouch too. It packs its own triple-camera punch with a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide, and a powerful 50MP telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom.

Where it gets ambitious is in the digital zoom department, scaling all the way up to a staggering 120x, surpassing the V60’s 100x cap. It’s the kind of spec that makes you curious enough to try, even if real-world results tell a different story.
Oppo Reno 14 vs Vivo V60 zoom test
In our zoom test at 20x, both phones impress. Details stay crisp, colours are lively, and dynamic range is balanced. The difference? Vivo’s Zeiss-driven colour science leans towards a moodier, more cinematic look, while Oppo sticks to a slightly brighter, more natural palette.
Push both to 100x and the AI starts doing the heavy lifting. The phones battle to keep text on a distant “Mumbai Metro” sign legible. Neither nails it, but the Vivo’s output feels shaper, whereas the Oppo looks more natural. Then there’s the Reno 14’s headline-grabbing 120x. Yes, you can technically punch in further than the Vivo, but the results start to look heavily processed.
Both phones impress with their camera and zooming chops, regardless. Which phone wins the camera zoom race according to you? Drop a comment with your favourite!
