OnePlus has been teasing the arrival of OxygenOS 16 for the past few days in India. Now, the brand has officially confirmed that it will be announced on October 16 in the country. Upcoming OnePlus flagships like the OnePlus 15 and 15R are expected to offer an OxygenOS 16-based Android 16 out-of-the-box experience.
OxygenOS 16 India launch date
OnePlus released the above poster through its X (formerly Twitter) account to confirm the OxygenOS 16 India launch date. Apart from mentioning the October 16 unveiling, the poster highlights “Intelligently Yours” and “OnePlus AI,” promising a system-wide AI integration.

OnePlus is yet to reveal the key features of OxygenOS 16, but recent teasers released by the brand do give a hint of what to expect. One teaser revealed that the company will bring Gemini AI integration to the Mind Space feature, a personalised digital hub where users can save, organise, and quickly recall on-screen content.
OxygenOS 16 is also expected to bring smoother animations, refreshed app icons, and an iPhone-like “Liquid Glass” design. It is also tipped to include a new Always-on Display (AOD) feature that spans the entire display, showing more information at a glance.
List of devices that may receive OxygenOS 16 update
OnePlus hasn’t released an official list of devices that will receive the OxygenOS 16 upgrade. However, the following phones are expected to receive the new firmware:
OnePlus 13S, OnePlus 13, OnePlus 13R, OnePlus Open, OnePlus 12, OnePlus 12R, OnePlus 11, OnePlus 11R, OnePlus Nord 5, Nord 4, Nord 3, Nord CE 5, Nord CE 4, and Nord CE 4 Lite.
OnePlus Pad 3, Pad Lite, Pad 2, and Pad tablets are also expected to get OxygenOS 16. However, some of these devices may receive Android 15-based OxygenOS 16.
