Realme has confirmed several details about the Realme GT 8 Pro ahead of its October 21 unveiling. Today, the brand rolled out a couple of posters to confirm multiple details, from design to camera, about the standard Realme GT 8, which will debut alongside the Pro model tomorrow. The official details suggest that the standard model will have a lot in common with the Pro variant.
Realme GT 8 design, colour options
Starting with the design, the Realme GT 8 can be seen sporting the same round camera module as the Pro edition. While both devices share the same design language, the official image suggests that the GT 8 may also feature interchangeable camera modules, which has already been confirmed for the Pro.
The Realme GT 8 will arrive in three shades, such as Navi, White, and Green. Among these, the green edition features a paper-like recycled leather back, while the blue and white variants use anti-glare frosted glass that helps resist smudges.
Realme GT 8 specifications
Realme has confirmed that the GT 8 features an OLED display supporting 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Reports indicate it will have a 6.78-inch screen, an R1 graphics chip, a 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired charging, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage. However, it lacks support for wireless charging, a feature reserved for the Pro version.
The company also revealed that the GT 8 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the same processor that powered last year’s GT 7 Pro. The phone features a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom.
As per leaks, the setup also includes a 50MP main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. The handset will also offer support for Ricoh GR colour profiles and optimisations. It will run on Android 16, having a layer of Realme UI 7 on top.
To sum up, the Realme GT 8 packs the same design, display, battery, and charging capabilities as the GT 8 Pro.
Realme GT 8 Pro expected India launch date
While the Realme GT 8 Pro is already confirmed to debut in India soon, Realme is yet to confirm whether the GT 8 will launch in markets outside China. As for the Pro edition, it is rumoured to launch in India on November 11, as the country’s first Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered smartphone.
