Realme Narzo 90, Narzo 90x launch as affordable performance-focused phones

Realme has officially unveiled the Realme Narzo 90 series in India, expanding its popular Narzo lineup with two new models, the Realme Narzo 90 and the Realme Narzo 90x. As with previous generations, the new Narzo phones are positioned as value-focused devices aimed at young users who prioritise performance, battery life, and display quality.

Realme Narzo 90, Narzo 90x: Specifications and features

The Realme Narzo 90 and Narzo 90x both feature large 6.8-inch displays, though the panel technology differs between the two models. The Narzo 90 comes with an AMOLED screen offering a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,400nits high brightness mode.

In comparison, the Narzo 90x features an HD+ LCD display with a faster 144Hz refresh rate and up to 1,200nits brightness, targeting users who prefer smoother scrolling at a lower price point.

In terms of performance, the Narzo 90 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Max chipset, while the Narzo 90x runs on the Dimensity 6300 processor. Both phones ship with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. A major highlight of the series is the large 7,000mAh battery present on both devices, paired with 60W fast charging support.

Camera hardware is also largely similar across the two phones. Both the Realme Narzo 90 and Narzo 90x feature a 50MP primary rear camera along with a 2MP secondary sensor.

The key difference lies in the front camera, where the Narzo 90 is equipped with a 50MP selfie camera, while the Narzo 90x houses an 8MP front-facing sensor. The Narzo 90 lineup runs on Realme UI 6-based Android 15. Both devices will get three years of OS upgrades and four years of security updates. While the 90x has a side-facing fingerprint sensor, the Narzo 90 gets an optical in-screen fingerprint reader.

Realme Narzo 90 series: Price and availability

The Realme Narzo 90 is available in Victory Gold and Carbon Black colour options. It comes in 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB options priced at Rs 16,999 and Rs 18,499, respectively.

The Realme Narzo 90x comes in Flash Blue and Nitro Blue shades and configurations like 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB. These variants are priced at Rs 13,999 and Rs 15,499, respectively. These devices are set to go official on December 23 in India.
