Redmi 15A 5G is an entry-level phone that will launch in India next week

Redmi rolled out a new teaser yesterday, which suggested that it will be introducing a new Redmi Note series phone. Now, it’s confirmed that this will be the Redmi 15A, and it will break cover on March 27. A landing page has further confirmed a few details about this upcoming phone.

Redmi 15A 5G key details confirmed

Starting with its build, the Redmi 15A seems to have a splash-resistant body, but the brand is yet to confirm on the IP rating. Talking further about its design, it has a dual-camera setup on the back and seemingly a waterdrop notch display on the front. It will be available in three shades, such as black, blue, and pink.

The Redmi 15A’s screen size has not been revealed yet, but it is confirmed to support a 120Hz refresh rate. It will support 5G connectivity and will pack a massive 6,300mAh battery. With a few days remaining for the launch, the brand is expected to confirm more details in the coming days.

The Redmi 15A would be the third phone in the 15-series, which already includes the Redmi 15 and Redmi 15C. The 15A is likely to arrive as the entry-level offering in the lineup.

There is a possibility that the Redmi 15A could be a rebranded version of the Poco C85x 5G, which recently debuted in India. On the front, it features a 6.9-inch LCD HD+ display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate, a Unisoc T8300 5G chipset, 4GB of RAM, up to 128GB of storage, and a 6,300mAh battery with 15W charging.

For photography, the C85x 5G has a 32MP dual-camera setup on the back and an 8MP front camera. It comes preloaded with HyperOS 3-based Android 16.

Redmi 15A price in India

Redmi is yet to share any clues about the Redmi 15A’s pricing. There is a possibility that it may start at Rs 10,999, similar to the C85x.
