Redmi K90 Max, Redmi K Pad 2 design officially revealed ahead of launch

This month, Redmi will hold a launch event in China to unveil the gaming-focused Redmi K90 Max and Redmi K Pad 2 tablet. Today, the brand rolled out official images to confirm the design of both devices. Here’s a look at the official details of both products confirmed by the brand.

Redmi K90 Max - A gaming-focused phone

The Redmi K90 Max, which sits between existing models such as the Redmi K90 and K90 Pro Max, will be powered by the Dimensity 9500 chip. One of the major highlights of this device is that it is equipped with a built-in cooling fan, which can be seen on the right side of the camera module in the image.

Even at full speed, the built-in fan works at as low as 32dB and can drop internal temperature by 10°C in just 100 seconds. Under the rectangular camera module, there is a slit for air venting for effective heat dissipation. The phone is also equipped with an aluminium alloy frame and offers IP66/68/69-rated dust and water resistance.

Redmi K Pad 2 - A compact tablet for gaming

The Redmi K Pad 2 will arrive as a compact gaming-focused tablet equipped with an 8.8-inch LCD panel with support for a 165Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the tablet will feature the Dimensity 9500 chip and a massive 9,100mAh battery. It will be available in three shades, such as Deep Black, Spotlight Purple, and Space Silver.

Reports suggest that the Redmi K90 Max may remain exclusive to the Chinese market. As far as the tablet is concerned, it may get rebranded as the Xiaomi Pad Mini 2 in markets outside China. However, it is too early to speculate whether it will arrive in India.
