Redmi has announced a new budget smartphone in India. While it joins the existing Redmi 15 series, the newest offering is named as Redmi 15A. Instead of following the existing C brand, the new model adopts an ‘A’ suffix. The device brings a big battery, AI features, faster display, and a long software support.
Redmi 15A specifications and pricing
The Redmi 15A has a large 6.9-inch HD+ screen bearing a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a flat frame, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a rectangular camera aligned on the back panel. It is IP52 certified dust and water-resistant
The Redmi 15A comes with a 32MP single rear camera and an 8MP front-facing selfie snapper. The device packs portrait mode and AI-loaded camera features.
Internally, the Redmi 15A is powered by an Unisoc T8300 octa-core processor. It packs up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The smartphone is backed by a 6,300 mAh battery cell with support for 15W fast charging and a 7.5W reverse wired charging to top up accessories.

Software-wise, the device ships with HyperOS 3.0-based Android 16 out of the box. It is confirmed to be eligible for four years of OS updates and six years of security patches. The Redmi 15A comes with Google Gemini and Circle to Search features onboard.
The Redmi 15A starts at Rs 12,999 for the base 4GB + 64GB variant. The 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB configurations are priced at Rs 14,499 and Rs 16,499, respectively. The smartphone can be availed in Awesome Blue, Amazing Purple, and Ace Black color. It can be purchased starting April 3 from Xiaomi’s website, Flipkart and offline stores
