Redmi is preparing to expand its Note 15 lineup in India with a new variant. The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G has been teased ahead of launch, giving an early look at its design.
Redmi Note 15 SE 5G India launch date, design
The company has confirmed that the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G will launch in India on April 2. A dedicated microsite has also gone live, confirming its availability through the platform.
The design reveals a red rear panel paired with a gold-coloured frame, which appears similar to the New Year Cherry Red edition introduced in China. The phone is expected to retain a squircle-shaped camera module housing two cameras and an LED flash, with the camera island finished in a matching tone.
Expected Redmi Note 15 SE features and specifications
The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G is likely to carry similar specifications to the standard Redmi Note 15 5G. This includes a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 3,200 nits. It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.
On the camera front, the device could feature a 108MP primary sensor along with an 8MP ultrawide lens. It may also pack a 5,520mAh battery with fast charging support.
Pricing is expected to remain close to the existing model, which starts at Rs 22,999, although the SE variant could be positioned slightly lower.
Redmi 15A to launch before Redmi Note 15 SE
Ahead of the Note 15 SE launch, Redmi is also set to introduce the Redmi 15A in India on March 27. This indicates a broader refresh of the company’s budget and mid-range portfolio in the country, with multiple launches lined up within a short span.
