Redmi held a launch event in India today to unveil the Redmi Note 15 and the Redmi Pad 2 Pro. The Note 15 arriving in India packs an improved primary camera and a larger battery compared to its Chinese version, which debuted a couple of months ago. The Redmi Pad 2 Pro, on the other hand, is positioned as an affordable 5G-ready tablet. Here’s everything you need to know about these devices.
Redmi Note 15: Specs and features
The Redmi Note 15 features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a curved-edge design. Along with a Full HD+ resolution, it offers a 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 3,200 nits. The phone runs on Android 15 with HyperOS 3 on top. It is confirmed to receive three years of OS updates and four years of security updates.
The Redmi Note 15 is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. It houses a large 5,520mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.
For photography, the device comes with a 108MP main camera with OIS support, along with an 8MP ultra-wide lens. On the front, it has a 20MP camera for selfies and video calls. Other features include dual speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster, and an IP66-rated dust and water resistance.
Redmi Pad 2 Pro: Specs and features
The Redmi Pad 2 Pro sports a 12.1-inch LCD panel offering a 2.8K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 600 nits of brightness, and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It also carries an IP53 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro delivers capable performance. The processor is paired with a massive 12,000mAh battery, which supports 33W wired charging and 27W reverse charging for powering other devices.

The tablet features a pair of 8MP cameras, one on the front and one on the rear. It runs HyperOS 2 based on Android 15 and offers additional features such as quad speakers with Dolby Atmos support and a microSD card slot.
Redmi Note 15, Redmi Pad 2 Pro: Price and availability
The Redmi Note 15 has launched in India in two configurations: 8GB+128GB priced at Rs 22999 and 8GB+256GB priced at Rs 24,999. It is available in three colour options: black, silver, and purple. As for the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Note 15 Pro+, rumours suggest that these models could debut in India in February.
The Redmi Pad 2 Pro’s Wi-Fi-only variant, available in a single 8GB+128GB configuration, is priced at Rs 24,999. The 5G variants are offered in 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB options, priced at Rs 27,999 and Rs 29,999, respectively. Redmi is offering accessories like a cover and Smart Pen for Rs 1,499 and Rs 3,999, respectively.
The Note 15 and Pad 2 Pro are scheduled to go on sale starting January 9 and 12, respectively.
