Redmi has quietly expanded its audio portfolio with the launch of a new Redmi-branded soundbar speaker in China. Aimed at desktop users, it offers a compact design with enhanced sound output and custom lighting features. Here’s a look at the specifications, features, and price of the device.
Redmi Soundbar 2 Pro: Specs and features
The Redmi Soundbar 2 Pro is designed as a desktop sound solution that pairs a slim soundbar with a dedicated wireless subwoofer. The soundbar uses a quad-driver configuration and a 53-degree angled speaker layout, which is intended to deliver a wider and more balanced near-field soundstage.
For audio processing, it features a built-in DSP, offering five preset EQ modes tuned for music, vocals, gaming, films, and balanced listening. It is equipped with a wireless subwoofer with a 96mm long-throw driver, with low-frequency response going down to 60Hz.
The soundbar also integrates RGB ambient lighting with multiple effects, including music-synchronised modes, adding a visual layer to desktop setups. Physical controls include a rotary knob with a CD-textured finish and dedicated buttons for sound modes and lighting.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.3, USB digital audio input, and Aux in, allowing it to work with PCs, laptops, smartphones, and tablets. A built-in microphone with acoustic echo cancellation supports voice calls and meetings, and there is also a 3.5mm port for connecting an external microphone. Redmi also offers PC software support for EQ tuning and RGB customisation.
Redmi Soundbar 2 Pro: Pricing and availability
The Redmi Soundbar 2 Pro is available for purchase in China at an introductory price of 499 CNY, which roughly converts to Rs 5,900. At the moment, there is no official confirmation on whether Xiaomi plans to release the soundbar in markets outside China.
