India’s sub-Rs 8,000 smartphone market is still alive and buzzing. Samsung knows it, and its latest release, the Galaxy M07, is designed to slip neatly into the hands of first-time buyers and budget-hunters alike.
On paper, it’s a modest phone that checks off the basics. The real head-turner? Six years of OS and security updates; a commitment usually reserved for premium flagships. Here’s everything you need to know about the newly launched Samsung Galaxy M07.
Samsung Galaxy M07: Specs and features
The Galaxy M07 doesn’t dress itself up as more than it is. You get a 6.7-inch LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution, framed by Samsung’s familiar Infinity-U notch. Perfectly serviceable for endless YouTube binges or casual Netflix nights.
Under the hood, there’s a MediaTek Helio G99 processor paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Connectivity sticks to 4G, but Samsung throws in a microSD slot with support for up to 2TB expansion, which is pretty impressive for this price band.
Battery life should be solid thanks to a 5,000mAh cell with 25W fast charging. Cameras are as straightforward as you’d expect. You get a 50MP main sensor backed by a 2MP macro, and an 8MP selfie shooter up front.

Software support is where the Galaxy M07 punches above its weight. The phone boots Android 15 with One UI 7.0, and Samsung promises six full years of OS and security updates. That’s not just class-leading for the segment, it’s unheard of.
Other bits round out the package. These include dual SIM slots, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, a 3.5mm jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
But Samsung’s bold software promise makes the Galaxy M07 a conversation starter. What are your thoughts on this phone? Let us know in the comments.
