Samsung is back with another phone for budget buyers. This one, however, is no joke. It comes with Samsung’s signature design, and pair it with a solid specs sheet.
Some of its key highlights include an OIS camera, a high refresh rate screen for smooth scrolling, and some cool AI features that up your productivity and creativity. Here’s all you need to know.
Everything special about the new Galaxy M17 5G
The Samsung Galaxy M17 5G comes with a 6.7-inch SuperAMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and 1,100 nits peak brightness for better sunlight legibility. It has a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus back, meaning it’s quite durable than standard glass panels. The device is IP54 rated for dust and splash resistance.
One of its major highlights is the cameras. It gets a triple-rear camera system with a 50MP main sensor that supports OIS for smooth footage. It is assisted by a 2MP macro unit. There’s a 13MP camera on the front for selfies.
Powering the device is the 6nm-based Exynos 1330 chipset, which is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. What makes the M17 5G stand out when compared to the M16 5G are the built-in AI features.
The device gets Gemini Live, Circle to Search, and other cool AI tools. It boots on Android 15 OS and has One UI 7 out of the box. But it should get One UI 8, as it supports six years of OS and security updates.

For all this, you’ll have to shell out just Rs 12,499 for the base 4GB + 128GB variant, making it a value-for-money option. The 6GB and 8GB variants are priced at Rs 13,999 and Rs 15,999, respectively. The device comes in Moonlight Silver and Sapphire Black, and is already available for purchase.
In the same price range, you can also check out the CMF Phone 2 Pro and the Vivo T4 Lite. Both come with similar features.
